Swimming Pool & Spa Inspector – Jack has spent many years in the Swimming Pool construction and service industry. He has construction experience in both gunite/shotcrete structures, as well as vinyl liner pool construction. Jack has inspected hundreds of swimming pools both concrete and vinyl. Showalter Property Consultants has a unique and detailed methods for inspecting in-ground swimming pools.
Years of service experience allows him to bring a level of comfort to experienced, and especially first time pool buyers. His comprehensive Swimming Pool Inspection Reports, including color underwater video of the complete pool shell, are well regarded in the market from Potomac to Ocean City, and Lutherville to Southern Maryland. Customer attention is his focus.
Since we do not perform and repairs or service work ourselves, there is no conflict of interest in performing your inspection. The findings are presented in a manner that you can easily obtain quotes for repairs by local pool service companies, and Jack is always available by phone to help you with any questions…sometimes while he is enjoying his own pool! 😊
Leak Detection-Jack provides state of the art in leak detection both visual tests as well as state of the art in leak detection equipment. Jack also brings his experience and expertise to every leak detection job. The leak detection can be used to locate leaks at swimming pools, irrigation systems, radiant heating systems and other various underground systems.
Mold Sampling – Jack has completed InterNACHI’s Mold Inspector Training and ADVANCED Mold Inspector Training courses. Having assisted in many mold investigations, Jack has become fluent in all areas if sampling to include air, swab, tape lift and VOC sampling. Every report returned to a client includes additional information documents to inform the client on specific test results. A follow up phone call is always made to make sure the client knows exactly what was found, possible effects to the client and family, as well as recommended next-steps.
Radon Testing – Jack has performed hundreds of radon tests in the Annapolis/Baltimore/Eastern Shore market. Using the most comprehensive testing equipment available, our tests give you MUCH more than just a number. Each report includes at least 48 data points to enable you to see trends, not just a raw number. While usually associated with a Real Estate transaction, we have performed many tests for people that just want to know the quality of the air they breathe in their own homes.
Water Sampling – Maryland certified, Jack has taken the required water collection class from Maryland in order to take water samples in the Maryland.
Home Inspection – While still in the training stage, Jack is diligently working his way through the InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector Course. He looks forward to expanding his inspection career with Showalter Property Consultants!
